I do not know who the journal belonged to as I unexpectedly found it while digging up some dirt in my backyard. There are no markings on it to determine its place of origin. It was originally handwritten, but I have typed it out so that it can be more easily circulated.I cannot imagine the information in this journal is true, but there are enough verifiable facts that I am forced to consider that it could be. There is no year associated with it. Due to some of the technology mentioned, it must be describing a time period around the late 90s or early 00s, but again, I am not sure. I am publishing this transcript in hopes that someone can identify who wrote it, knows whether or not there is more to the story, and can attest to if any or all of it is true.So no one wastes their time reading through someones journal on a topic they are not interested in, I will give a quick summary of the text. During the month of October, in an unknown year, a zombie outbreak started in Atlanta, GA. Once the author of the journal realizes what is happening, he begins to document as much as possible through this journal. The first 8 days of the journal appear to be retrospective for the author since he did not know what was going on at the very beginning of the outbreak. Since he coincidentally had an ongoing fascination with zombies, he had made preparations for zombies in case they ever actually appeared. The rest seems right out of a zombie movie or book – death, destruction, and a breakdown of society. This section of the journal is only a month long so I am not sure if something happened to the author at the end of the month or if there is more of the journal to be found. I hope there is since I am obviously invested in knowing more about this story. If you wrote this, know who did, or have any other information about its background, please let me know. I plan to continue searching until I learn more about the author or the events he describes. You can keep up with how my search is going through www.SurvivingOctober.com.Once I started reading this story, I was hooked. I think youll understand.Sincerely,R.L. Chapman
